My pukeko is in the grass under a tree waiting for the sun to rise up. The mighty tree on the right is peacefully blowing in the wind and reaching for the sky.  

My sunrise is made out of koru patterns. The lime green grass is standing tall and proud. This art presents my family and is inspired by Shane Hansen, a New Zealand artist.

This Week in Room 18

This week I enjoyed  art because I learnt new things. As you can see I have tinted the sky. My back ground has a tree and hill. My bird also has korus. I used pastel,paint and pencil. I hope you like it.

This week I am proud of my homework because I got all the answers right.

Next week I want to work on my reading contract because I didn't get all my work done.

Art & Reflection

               
This week I enjoyed art because I learnt new things. Mr cooper taught us how to tint and shade. Tinting is making the colour lighter and shading is making the colour darker.

This week I am proud of my writing because I got it done and I used lots of  'wow' words like violently, exploded, horrible and,sticky.

Next week I want to work on homework because I didn't get it done.

Reflection - Week 5

This week I enjoyed drawing because I learnt how to draw korus.

This week I am proud of my drawing because I tried to make it look like the photo. 

Next week I want to work on my spelling because I got four out of ten.

Making penguins

This week I enjoyed making emperor penguins because I like art. I made this out of black,white and orange paper and blue dye. 

This week I am proud of my home work because I got 48 words in my boggle challenge.

Next week I want to work on my reading because I did not read on Monday.

Matariki sewing 17.6.2015

Ring ring ring ring! The bell went and it sounded like a fire alarm. It was time to go to Room 19 to get into our groups.

The mixed groups zoomed to their classes. I went to room 14.

When I walked in I saw a sewing machine,materials, a cup with bobby pins,the seven stars and a little boat. When we got started we were just practising. I was sewing in squares.

Anzac Art

This is my Anzac art that I made at school. I made it with dye and black paper. It is a solider watching out for an attack. Down the bottom of the hill are rocks and a cross. There are also two poppies.  

Week 2

 I enjoyed  having Mrs Basset because she was nice and we did fun things. We made maps and fact books.

 I am proud my maths because I can subtract by making a ten.   

 I want to work on my spelling because I only got seven right. 

Week 7

This week I have enjoyed maths because we were learning about fractions and it was fun.


This week I am proud of leaning about monkeys because it was fun to learn about what they do and eat.


Next week I want to work on spelling because I want to get better at it.

Week 6

This week I enjoyed taking the animal photos.


This week I am proud of swimming. I am getting more confident in the water.


Next week I want to work on reading more at home and doing my homework.

Pet Experience

                                       

 If I could have any pet in the world I would have a monkey because he can teach me how to swing from the trees and he could keep my feet warm when I go to bed. The monkey can do my chores for me and he can wake me up in the morning for school.  

Week 5 Reflection.

This week I enjoyed making Quackers, working on the computers and swimming.

This week I am proud of my swimming.  I have got more confident in the water.
